Raul Garcia
Raul was introduced to the inner workings of the kitchen at a young age, helping his mother and grandmother make desserts in his grandfather’s restaurants. He began his career as an adult in his position as Chef Garde Manger at a hotel in Mexico, where he was very intrigued by the pastry department. Raul watched the pastry chef intently and the more he observed, the more he gained an interest in jumping into pastry himself. He stayed late to help in the bakery and learn everything he could – and from there, Raul’s pastry passion flourished.
He has been working in pastry for 34 years, all throughout Mexico, Central and South America. His career with Rich’s began when they acquired Flavor Right in 2016 where he worked previously. In his current role as Bakery Technical Counselor, Raul combines his love for pastry, people and teaching to provide support, training and presentations of Rich’s product portfolio to his ISB and CDSS customers.
Raul loves to share his breadth of knowledge with his customers, and he does so in a manner that is patient and understanding. Cake and dessert decorating brings him the most joy – and he loves seeing the smiles on his customers’ faces when presenting something he’s prepared for them!
