Technical Counselor
Beth Kohl
From extravagant cake creations to decadent experimentations in icing, Beth is a creative connoisseur of showstopping sweets. But baking wasn’t always her primary passion: an aspiring chef since the age of 8, Beth followed her love of cooking to the Academy of Culinary Arts at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Ensuing a series of positions in fine dining restaurants, Beth returned to her hometown of Pittsburgh and became an executive chef for Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
On the side, Beth began making customized cakes from home, spending hours every night baking and decorating cakes from scratch. What began as a service for family and friends quickly emerged into a booming business. Beth eventually left her executive chef position and joined Rich Products as a Bakery Technician – allowing her to bring her pastry skills to a whole new level.
For nearly five years, Beth has brought her go-getter attitude and love of a challenge to the Rich’s team, working primarily with regional grocery chains and in-store bakeries. An incredibly valuable asset to the Rich’s team, Beth brings her contagious enthusiasm to work every day. Whether assisting in-store bakeries with new cake creations, traveling to train new recruits for an apprenticeship program, or engaging in product development and flavor ideation, her work ethic shines in every task she completes. And all at the same time, Beth is pursuing a business degree from IUP to expand her skillset and further her passion of bringing dessert dreams come to life.
