Kevin Loyd

Kevin’s baking career started unexpectedly over 40 years ago in Rich’s California plant, where he worked as a machine operator, running the machines with a variety of dough products – from breads and rolls to pizza dough, to cookies and more. Kevin brought his knowledge of Rich’s portfolio of bakery products to the table as a Bakery Technician in 1986, and has kept his loyalty to the company for almost 36 years.

A typical day at Rich’s is anything but typical for Kevin. Some days he’s training associates at in store bakeries, other days he is troubleshooting products or helping with photoshoots for weekly grocery advertisements – but most days, he is on the road, both in his personal and professional life. Traveling up and down the West Coast, nationally and sometimes internationally, to train store associates on Rich’s donuts, danishes, breads, rolls and more, Kevin likes to call himself a “traveling baker.” Wherever Rich’s needs him to go, Kevin is quick to answer the call with an eager spirit. He is incredibly proud of his time with Rich’s, and the prestige associated with his A-Team.

Aside from the exciting spontaneity, his favorite part of his job is teaching. He enjoys the warm feeling he gets helping associates understand the baking process, and the fun he has while doing it!
