Dave Desena

Dave’s baking career began immediately after high school in the bakery at a Northeast grocery chain super store in Connecticut. He quickly transitioned from panning products for bakers to frying donuts and baking from scratch at a larger supermarket chain after moving to Florida, where he resides today.

Between baking behind the glass and joining the team at Rich’s, Dave repped Rich’s products as a broker, opening the door to an opportunity and achievement he is most proud of – becoming a Technical Counselor at Rich’s. For over five years, he has poured his experience, expertise and heart into training associates on how to use Rich’s bakery products, from cakes to breads and rolls. Dave works specifically with accounts on the East Coast, providing in store instruction, cake decorating classes, seasonal ideation and more. Dave takes pride in helping associates develop their craft, and seeing his students institute what he has taught them in their stores.

An exquisite cake decorator and a carrot cake lover, Dave’s most favorite cakes to decorate are rich dessert cakes. But off the job, you’ll only find him baking special cakes for his grandkids.
