Albert Fernandez

Chef Albert Fernandez is a classically Frenchtrained culinarian and graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in Austin, Texas. He began his career in several of Austin’s respected kitchens, where he developed a strong foundation in technique, discipline, and qualitydriven cooking. Those early experiences shaped his appreciation for thoughtful preparation, and the role food plays in bringing people together. 

After relocating to Charlotte, North Carolina, Chef Fernandez expanded his culinary perspective through fine dining and private catering, refining his ability to deliver elevated cuisine across a variety of environments. Over the past 12 years, he has partnered with operators and culinary teams to create menus that balance creativity, practicality, and a deep respect for ingredients. 

Chef Albert's relationship with Rich’s began during his time as a broker, where he served as the lead culinarian in his market. Today, he works closely with sales teams across his region to identify where Rich’s products can best support customer operations, offering product knowledge, menu solutions, and handson culinary expertise. 

Outside of work, he enjoys cooking paella—a dish he loves for its warmth and its ability to gather people around the table. He spends his free time with his family and remains active in his community, helping organize events that celebrate connection, good food, and shared experiences.
