It was the comradery of the industry that drew Matt Eisenhour to work in food from an early age. In high school he climbed his way from dishwasher at a neighborhood Italian restaurant up to prep cook to fry cook to grill, learning as he went and solidifying his choice of career. Matt earned an associate’s degree in Culinary Art from the Art Institute of Houston and quickly found work after college in catering; to this day he still finds it easier to cook in large volumes than it is for two people. After five years he went to work for a food broker, where he learned about the companies who produce ingredients made especially for kitchens—including Rich Products.

“It really increased my knowledge and understanding of not just preparing food, but how it's made before and everything that goes into manufacturing food service products.”

After a second catering gig that took him to the big, thrilling stages of Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and Burning Man to serve thousands of people a day, Matt joined the Rich’s team in 2012 as a culinary manager. He can now be found in customers’ kitchens demonstrating new products or at Rich’s kitchens in front of a camera helping to create digital content and live streams for the company. He’s equally comfortable in both spotlights and loves the chance to challenge himself and continue to learn every day.
